We had to move to Toccoa to take care of my mother and father-in-law 3 years ago. I was then employed in an IT position working in Atlanta, GA. I was fortunate enough to work from home until 8/2006 when my job was outsourced to India.

After loosing my job I sought work but Toccoa is very small and there are no IT positions available. I began looking for different work but I was either overqualified or did not have the Bachelors degree needed.

My father-in-law passed away on Easter this year and my mother passed away on 11/8/07. I cashed in everything I had in my 401k just to have something to live on. This was not much but saw us through until June this year when then my mom had to help pay our bills with her small SS check of 689 per month. 

My husband has been unable to work because of back and hip problems for 4 years and has applied for disability but the lawyers say we are still 4-6 months away from a hearing for a ruling.

With my mother's passing we have no income at all. We are about to have all our utilities turned off. I am currently seeking work but I can't even get McDonald's to hire me.

If anyone can help us in any way it would be gratefully appreciated. Before I began my career in Atlanta I prayed God would put me where he wanted me so I could be there for my aging parents and in-laws. He answered that prayer. I now pray he puts me where he wants me again. I believe I have applied at almost every business in Toccoa but I just can't get a job at this time, but I am not giving up. I am pounding the pavement everyday. I have even reapplied at several places.

I am to the point of begging for help. Please if you can help us, we are in dire need. I can not promise to pay back because I do not know when I will get a job. But I will pay back even if it takes years.

I pray someone here can help. Please understand we are not looking for money to burn but money to keep our light, phone, water, car insurance, house insurance, etc. If anyone can help please let me know.
